About the Job:
As a crucial member of the Patient Care Services team, the Admission Nurse plays a vital role in providing comprehensive and compassionate nursing care to patients with diverse diagnoses. Working closely with the Emergency Department and Inpatient units, the Admission Nurse facilitates the admission process for patients coming from the ED or the community. Collaboration with the ED staff, Nursing Supervisors, and inpatient team is essential to initiate the admission process and ensure smooth throughput.
What You’ll Do:
Works collaboratively with inpatient providers, primary nurses, other disciplines, and inpatient floors to coordinate the admission process, and to provide the patients with comprehensive care.
Ensures efficient admission process for patients originating in the ED or from the community.
Delivers nursing care by utilizing a patient-centered approach incorporating the Professional Practice Model
Who You Are:
Education: Graduate with an Associate’s degree in Nursing, BSN preferred
Registered Nurse with a NH License or compact state
Experienced in Acute Care Clinical areas with a minimum of 2 years of experience
Understanding of patient transport – unit to unit and admission protocols
Clinical experience in Cardiac Telemetry
Previous Admission Nurse experience highly preferred
