About the Job:
TheMedical Assistantis responsible for participating in the provision of professional nursing care to patients under the supervision of Registered Nurses, Providers, and the Practice Manager.
What You’ll Do:
- Participate in patient care in-person, via phone screening, and telehealth under provider supervision.
- Administer prescribed medications, treatments, immunizations, and perform point-of-care testing.
- Collect and screen patient history and health-related information, and communicate findings to providers.
- Relay provider instructions and care plans to patients.
- Accurately document procedures, interventions, communications, and test results in the medical record.
Who You Are:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or 3 years of equivalent experience.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- One year of experience in a medical practice or healthcare setting preferred.
