About Foundation Pediatrics:

Foundation Pediatrics is a trusted pediatric practice located in downtown Nashua, NH, dedicated to helping children grow and thrive from infancy through adolescence. Our compassionate care team provides expert, family-centered care tailored to each stage of your child’s development. Many families begin their journey with us at birth and continue through the teen years, building lasting relationships with our providers.

About the Job:

As a Medical Assistant at Foundation Pediatrics, you’ll be an essential part of our care team, supporting providers and patients through both clinical and administrative tasks. You’ll work under the supervision of a provider and Practice Manager to ensure smooth, compassionate, and efficient care delivery in a pediatric setting.

What You’ll Do:

  • Participate in patient care in-person, via phone screening, and telehealth under provider supervision.
  • Administer medications, treatments, immunizations, and perform point-of-care testing.
  • Collect and document patient history and health-related information.
  • Communicate provider instructions and care plans to patients and families.
  • Accurately document procedures, interventions, and communications in the medical record.
  • Assist with pre-visit preparation, including outreach and coordination of testing.
  • Perform administrative duties such as medical records and patient service tasks.
  • Mentor and train new staff as directed.
  • Attend ongoing education programs and maintain competencies.
  • Adhere to safety, infection control, HIPAA, and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Maintain current certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS).

Who You Are / Requirements:

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Associate’s Degree preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current BLS/CPR certification required.
  • RMA, CMA (AAMA), or ABR-OE certification preferred.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a patient-facing role required.
  • 3 years of experience required if no formal MA program completed.
  • One year in a medical practice or healthcare setting preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and office workflow.
  • EMR systems and Windows-based software proficiency.
  • Skilled in standard precautions, confidentiality, and interpersonal communication.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing environments.
