About the Job:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs preventive maintenance and assists with the repair, alteration, and modification of buildings, equipment, and facility systems throughout the hospital campus.
What You'll Do:
- Perform a wide range of general maintenance duties in support of the Engineering Department, including changing light fixtures, resetting breakers, cleaning and installing light panels, and repairing sockets and wiring.
- Utilize proper techniques and equipment to install, maintain, and repair a variety of interior and exterior finishes, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment.
- Maintain a continuous supply of medical gases by replacing tanks and coordinating reorders as needed.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and staging equipment while performing maintenance and repair tasks.
- Assist with general facility upkeep to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Who You Are:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year of general maintenance experience required.
- Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred, but not required.
- Working knowledge of basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools and work at varying heights as needed.
