About the Job:
The Pharmacy Technician provides professional pharmacy support services to ensure the safe, accurate, and effective preparation and distribution of medications. This role supports pharmacists in daily pharmacy operations, patient service, insurance adjudication, and inventory management while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards. The Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional patient experience in an ambulatory pharmacy setting.
What You’ll Do:
- Enter and maintain accurate patient profiles and prescription information within the pharmacy system
- Prepare and stage medications for pharmacist review, verification, and dispensing
- Support insurance adjudication, reimbursement, and payment resolution in collaboration with patients, pharmacists, and payers
- Manage inventory activities, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and tracking medications
- Communicate effectively with patients, pharmacists, and healthcare team members to support safe, efficient pharmacy operations
Who You Are:
- Minimum of two (2) years of directly related ambulatory pharmacy experience required
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Pharmacy Technician certification through a national organization (e.g., PTCB) required
- State pharmacy certification accepted if core competencies meet or exceed national certification standards
