About the Job:
The Critical Care Support Nurse (RN) provides expert clinical guidance and patient care to acutely ill patients. This role serves as a mentor, facilitator, and clinical expert, supporting direct care nurses and collaborating with nursing leadership to improve patient care outcomes. You’ll provide hands-on support, lead in urgent response situations, and engage in ongoing nursing education and development.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform routine rounding for acutely ill patients to identify issues and respond accordingly.

  • Provide expert clinical guidance and policy support to direct care nurses.

  • Mentor and assist during emergent situations as part of the clinical care team.

  • Offer peer support and facilitate critical event debriefings.

  • Deliver direct nursing care for patients needing critical care interventions.

  • Collaborate on educational and training initiatives to improve nursing practices.

  • Maintain competence in specialized skills such as Ultrasound Guided IV Placement.

  • Evaluate patient care outcomes and adjust strategies as necessary.

Who You Are / Requirements:

  • You have a BSN (MSN preferred) and current NH RN licensure.

  • You bring at least five years of critical care nursing experience, with two years in a leadership role.

  • You have expertise in clinical education, codes, and emergency response.

  • Certification in critical care nursing (CCRN) or related specialties is a plus.

  • Experience in pediatric care and EPIC superuser status is advantageous.
