About the Job:

The RN Nurse Manager, Ambulatory plays a vital role in advancing professional nursing and medical assistant practice across ambulatory care settings. Reporting to the Director of Ambulatory Clinical Services and partnering closely with operational leaders, this role provides clinical leadership, oversight, and guidance to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. The Nurse Manager also contributes to operational excellence, workforce development, and continuous improvement throughout the ambulatory system.


What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as a clinical practice expert for nursing and medical assistant roles in ambulatory care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement and evaluate quality initiatives
  • Support strategic goals and board-designated outcomes in partnership with practice managers
  • Manage the clinical float pool and oversee its departmental budget
  • Partner with workforce development and clinical education to support the medical assistant apprenticeship program
  • Assist with hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations in collaboration with HR
  • Uphold professional, organizational, and regulatory standards
  • Promote a respectful, confidential, and positive work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Who You Are:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse in New Hampshire (Massachusetts license preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, leadership, or related field required; Master’s preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years clinical ambulatory experience, including three (3) years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of professional and regulatory standards in ambulatory care
  • Effective communicator with demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of facilitating meetings and presentations
  • Able to achieve competencies in staffing, budgeting, quality improvement, service recovery, and shared governance within 90 days
