Third Shift, hours are flexible 
1am-7:30am or 3am-10:30

Southern New Hampshire Medical Center’s Laboratory (Lab) is a fully accredited hospital laboratory. State-of-the-art technology enables doctors to provide our patients with the most accurate diagnoses and the most effective treatment.

About the Job:

The Histotechnician (HT) reports to the Laboratory Supervisor and is responsible for receiving and processing tissue specimens for review by the Pathologist.

What You’ll Do:

  • Performs and is proficient in tissue processing, embedding, sectioning and staining.
  • Operates all equipment to perform the tasks.
  • Uses computer systems.
  • Participates in department meetings, e-mail review, HIPAA, safety and accreditation requirements.

Who You Are:

  • Military trained as an MLT or HT, or 3 years training within a clinical laboratory, or 3 years’ experience on the job training within a Histology laboratory
  • Experience within a clinical laboratory.
  • Proficient in use of computer, Excellent customer service skills.
  • Graduate from a Histotechnician (HT) program accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) or an Associate degree in a related science such as Biology or Chemistry
  • Eligible for HT (ASCP) or equivalent
