About the Job:
The Resource Registered Nurse oversees the operational flow of their designated unit during a specific shift. They develop staff assignments based on competency, acuity, and volume, ensuring patient safety and quality care. Acting as a role model and resource, they guide the team and collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Manager to ensure adequate staffing and resources.
What You’ll Do:
Lead daily staffing huddles and monitor care delivery, safety, and patient satisfaction.
Coordinate patient care activities and staffing plans.
Mentor new employees and assess staff competencies.
Participate in performance improvement initiatives and quality improvement councils.
Activate the chain of command for administrative, clinical, and risk concerns.
Deliver patient-centered care using evidence-based practices.
Utilize technology and informatics to support decision-making and mitigate errors.
Maintain confidentiality and promote a positive work environment.
Ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
Licensure: Current New Hampshire RN license required; specialty certification preferred within 4 years.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of progressive clinical experience in acute care or specialty area.
Skills & Abilities: Strong communication, leadership, mentoring, and analytical skills. Ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and make complex decisions in rapidly changing situations.
