About the Job:

The Resource Registered Nurse oversees the operational flow of their designated unit during a specific shift. They develop staff assignments based on competency, acuity, and volume, ensuring patient safety and quality care. Acting as a role model and resource, they guide the team and collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Manager to ensure adequate staffing and resources.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead daily staffing huddles and monitor care delivery, safety, and patient satisfaction.

  • Coordinate patient care activities and staffing plans.

  • Mentor new employees and assess staff competencies.

  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and quality improvement councils.

  • Activate the chain of command for administrative, clinical, and risk concerns.

  • Deliver patient-centered care using evidence-based practices.

  • Utilize technology and informatics to support decision-making and mitigate errors.

  • Maintain confidentiality and promote a positive work environment.

  • Ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).

  • Licensure: Current New Hampshire RN license required; specialty certification preferred within 4 years.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of progressive clinical experience in acute care or specialty area.

  • Skills & Abilities: Strong communication, leadership, mentoring, and analytical skills. Ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and make complex decisions in rapidly changing situations.
