About the Job

As a Respiratory Therapist, you’ll provide comprehensive respiratory care across the hospital, ensuring patients receive safe and effective treatment. You’ll collaborate with physicians, nurses, allied staff, patients, and families while managing life-support equipment, performing diagnostic procedures, and responding to emergencies.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate and deliver respiratory treatments in collaboration with the care team
  • Administer medications per physician orders and monitor for adverse reactions
  • Perform arterial blood gas draws, analysis, and related quality checks
  • Manage mechanical ventilation, BiPAP/CPAP, and other respiratory support systems
  • Respond to codes, rapid response calls, and airway emergencies
  • Conduct EKGs, Holter, and Event Monitor setups; reconcile orders using Epiphany software
  • Ensure respiratory equipment is maintained and functioning properly
  • Assist in training new staff and orienting student interns

Who You Are

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Practitioner program
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT); Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred
  • Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in New Hampshire
  • Current CPR certification; ACLS, NRP, and PALS preferred
  • Critical thinker with the ability to multitask and remain calm in high-stress situations
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and committed to delivering compassionate patient care
  • No prior experience required; one year in an acute care setting preferred
