Title: Revenue Integrity Analyst Senior
Department: Revenue Cycle
Reports To: Director, Revenue Integrity and Data Analytics
Status: Exempt

The Senior Revenue Integrity Analyst serves as an advanced technical and analytical expert within the Revenue Integrity team. This role provides leadership in data analysis, charge capture audits, payer trend analysis, and revenue improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include managing complex charge review scenarios, supporting compliance and audits, and producing actionable financial reporting for assigned service lines. The position requires independent work and subject matter expertise in clinical and financial discussions around revenue optimization and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform quantitative and financial analysis and audits to identify revenue improvement opportunities.

  • Investigate high-impact billing edits, recurring discrepancies, and coding risks.

  • Lead charge capture reviews and collaborate with departments to improve documentation and charging practices.

  • Monitor Epic work queues and revenue integrity edits; analyze trends and develop action plans.

  • Act as a dedicated analyst for assigned service lines and lead quarterly reviews with operational leaders.

  • Support clinical departments in resolving charge capture and reconciliation issues.

  • Develop and implement process improvements for accurate and compliant documentation and billing.

  • Participate in payer and internal audits; prepare documentation and corrective action plans.

  • Collaborate with Compliance and CDM teams to monitor risks and implement billing corrections.

  • Assist with Epic performance reporting and audit invoices for accuracy.

  • Complete assigned audits and report results to the SNHH Audit Subcommittee.

  • Provide administrative support for vendor projects and serve as a resource for Revenue Cycle staff.

  • Communicate findings and recommendations through presentations, reports, and dashboards.

Who You Are / Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business, Finance, HIM, or related field (or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree).

  • Certifications:

    • Certified Professional Coder (CPC)

    • Certified Outpatient Coder (COC)

    • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)

    • EPIC certification in Hospital Revenue Cycle Operations within 6 months of hire (Professional Revenue Cycle Operations preferred).

  • Experience: 3–5 years in revenue integrity, hospital/professional billing, or healthcare analytics.

  • Knowledge: Reimbursement, payer policies, CDM, CPT/ICD coding, audit readiness.

  • Skills: Advanced Excel and reporting tools (pivot tables, dashboards, data visualization).

  • Abilities: Effective communication with clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders; ability to work independently on multiple priorities.
