About the Job:

As a member of the Patient Care Services management team, the Clinical Development Educator coordinates and conducts educational activities to maintain and advance the knowledge and skills of clinical staff including onboarding programs, competency assessments, and classes and workshops that support the care of specific patient populations. The role employs a variety of teaching/learning strategies and uses assessment and evaluation techniques for program planning and implementation.

  • Clinical focus: Endoscopy

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct gap analyses and prioritize learning needs of clinical staff.

  • Plan, develop, and coordinate learning activities to meet identified needs.

  • Use adult learning principles and creative educational methodologies to design and deliver educational activities.

  • Evaluate program outcomes and integrate results into program improvements and future education planning.

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement the new employee orientation program for nursing and ancillary clinical staff.

  • Design, coordinate and deliver the novice nurse Transition into Practice program.

  • Develop unit-based competencies in collaboration with unit-based clinical teachers and nursing leadership.

  • Monitor staff attainment of unit-based competencies.

  • Coordinate the initial skill assessment of newly hired LNAs and CNAs.

  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate continuing education activities that contribute to the development and relicensing of licensed assistive personnel.

  • Collaborate with the health care team to determine topics suitable for interdisciplinary simulation learning activities.

  • Develop, facilitate, and evaluate evidence-based clinical scenarios for simulation learning activities.

  • Serve as a Basic Life Support (BLS) instructor and ACLS or PALS instructor as appropriate to practice areas.

  • Support staff with the use of voice-assisted manikins (VAMs) for AHA programs.

Who You Are:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or enrolled in a Master’s Degree in Nursing program required.

  • Registered Nurse, licensed in the state of NH

  • Minimum of three years progressive educational and/or leadership experience

  • Minimum 3 years recent Endoscopy experience

  • Adult learning principles Teaching/learning methods and knowledge commensurate with basic nursing education
