Our new registered apprenticeship program makes it easier than ever to enter the healthcare field. You will get paid to learn your new skills while on the job and in the classroom.

Medical Assistant Program – April 6th 2026

As a member of the Patient Care Services team, the Medical Assistant student provides clinical and administrative responsibilities under the supervision of a Physician. This program is designed to meet standards set by the Affordable Care Act, the skills set required by regional employers and preparation for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) national exam.

How does it work?

  • Participants in the apprenticeship are full-time, benefited Foundation Medical Partners employees from the start of the program.

  • Receive 100% of tuition paid by Southern NH Health, and eligible for additional grant funding from the ApprenticeshipNH program for support services like transportation, supplies, etc.

  • Receive pay increases as you meet milestones throughout the program.

  • Completion of the apprenticeship earns the participant a National Occupational Credential through the Department of Labor.

  • Following the successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will continue your employment with the company as a fully-qualified Medical Assistant. Participants will be asked to make a 2 year employment commitment to Foundation Medical Partners after completing the apprenticeship.

So, what does the Medical Assistant apprenticeship program look like? What's in it for me?

  • 12 weeks of full-time, paid classroom instruction time at Nashua Community College in Nashua, New Hampshire.

  • Preparation and eligibility to sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) national exam is through National Healthcare Association (NHA).

  • Placement after classroom education into a full-time open medical assistant position with our Clinical Float Pool.

  • Completion of 3,600 on-the-job training hours with a mentor.

A high school diploma or GED is required.

Please note that this program will run for approximately two years and consist of 40-hour work weeks.

Please note that accepted apprentices will be required to sign a retention contract agreeing to work for Foundation Medical Partners for a minimum of two years post-completion of the program.

Classes start April 2026 and there are limited spots available.
