Southern New Hampshire Health is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Philanthropy to lead all fundraising and donor engagement efforts for our nonprofit health system.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this executive role partners closely with the Board of Trustees, senior leaders, clinicians, donors, and community partners to align philanthropy with the most urgent healthcare needs of the communities we serve.

The Opportunity
As our inaugural Vice President of Philanthropy, you will:
- Set and lead a comprehensive philanthropy strategy
- Inclusive of multi‑year and annual fundraising plans aligned to organizational priorities
- Emphasize major gifts, planned giving, and campaign development efforts
- Partner with our consulting firm to implement core strategies defined in recent engagement
- Serve as a senior executive partner
- Closely collaborate with the CEO, Executive Team, and Board of Trustees
- Align philanthropy with strategic growth, innovation, and community impact
- Personally lead major gift efforts
- Manage a portfolio of high‑value donors and prospects
- Successfully solicit transformational gifts, including $1M+ commitments
- Build and inspire a high‑performing team
- Recruit, develop, and lead best‑in‑class fundraising professionals
- Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and relationship‑driven work
- Champion community engagement
- Represent Southern New Hampshire Health at donor and community events
- Strengthen relationships with grateful patients, physicians, and partners
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years in the nonprofit sector
- 8+ years of senior leadership experience
- 5+ years in philanthropy or fundraising leadership
- Demonstrated success securing major and transformational gifts
- Exceptional relationship‑building and communication skills
Preferred
- Master’s degree
- Nonprofit healthcare fundraising experience
- Proven success with $1M+ gift solicitations
