About the Job:
The Clinical Dietitian will provide nutritional care to patients in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation through medical record review, clinical assessment, diet education, communication with nursing, physician, and ancillary staff.
What You’ll Do:
Completes nutrition screening within established timeframe and conducts the nutrition assessment when warranted.
Maintains in-depth knowledge of metabolism and nutrition in relation to specialized area of patient care.
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of food chemistry and macro, micro-nutrient composition for successful alteration of dietary program in a highly specialized population.
Participates as part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide integrated, patient-focused care.
Exhibits knowledge of food production and service systems in relation to safe, nutritious food products for patients.
Maintain dietetic registration, New Hampshire state licensure and continuing education requirements.
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from an accredited program required. Must meet education requirements based on candidates' year of registration with the commission of dietetics registration (CDR)
Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) accredited dietetic internship required.
Licensed in the State of New Hampshire as a Dietitian required within ninety (90) days of hire.
Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration required upon hire.
A minimum of one-three years of experience as a Clinical Dietitian in a hospital or health care facility preferred.
Prior chronic disease nutrition counseling preferred.
