About the Job:

As a member of the Patient Care Services team, the Pediatric Registered Nurse provides comprehensive care to patients ranging from newborns through adolescents. This role may also include caring for post-partum adults and patients with non-complex illnesses or procedures.
The Registered Nurse completes a competency-based orientation program and delivers patient-centered care grounded in the organization’s Professional Practice Model, evidence-based practice, and collaborative team approach to achieve high-quality outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver patient-centered nursing care using evidence-based practices and the Professional Practice Model
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Engage patients and families as partners in care, respecting preferences, values, and needs
  • Assess, prioritize, and implement individualized care plans
  • Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to plan, document, and manage patient care
  • Apply data and quality improvement methods to enhance patient safety and outcomes
  • Participate in unit-based initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and care delivery
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure patient privacy at all times
  • Delegate appropriate care tasks and support team-based care delivery
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Incorporate technology and informatics to support clinical decision-making and reduce errors
  • Promote a culture of safety and participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives
  • Identify and contribute to system improvements through error analysis and process evaluation
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Who You Are / Requirements:

Education:
  • ADN required, BSN preferred
Licensure/Certification:
  • Current New Hampshire Registered Nurse license required
  • Specialty board certification preferred
Experience:
  • Inpatient pediatric experience required
Certifications & Competencies:
  • Basic Life Support (within 30 days)
  • Intravenous Therapy (within 90 days)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or ENPC (within 180 days)
  • Mother-Baby Post-Partum Care (within 1 year)
