About the Job:

The MRI Supervisor is a working leader responsible for performing advanced MRI procedures while overseeing the daily operations of the MRI department. This role ensures high-quality imaging, regulatory compliance, and a positive patient experience through compassionate care and effective team leadership.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform a full range of MRI exams including neuro, orthopedic, body, and contrast studies
  • Review patient histories, verify orders, and ensure proper documentation (consents, screenings)
  • Evaluate image quality and collaborate with Radiologists, including support during procedures
  • Prepare and administer contrast in accordance with protocols
  • Supervise daily department operations, staffing, and workflow
  • Create staff schedules and manage coverage within budget guidelines
  • Train, onboard, and support ongoing staff competency and development
  • Conduct performance reviews and lead regular staff meetings
  • Manage supplies, equipment service needs, and vendor coordination
  • Support compliance with ACR accreditation, quality control, and HIPAA standards
  • Process payroll and maintain department records using systems such as Kronos, RIS, and PACS

Who You Are:

  • ARRT(R) certified; ARRT(MR) certified or obtained within one year
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • 3–5 years of advanced MRI experience
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and lead in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Committed to patient safety, quality care, and team collaboration
